Milano/Malpensa-Palma de Majorca/Son Sant Joan: viaggio andata/ritorno diretto.
E’ organizzato da Alpitour. “Il buon giorno si vede dal mattino”: tutto è corretto.
E’ il 21 giugno: è il Compleanno di mio marito. Arriviamo e, come da contratto,
sul tavolino, nella nostra camera, troviamo una bottiglia di spumante: ecco, fatto!
Per tutto il giorno, siamo fuori albergo per escursioni varie, per cui ovviamo
con un cestino molto ricco di cibi per pic-nic (uova sode, eccetera) che gustiamo.
Visitiamo la stupenda fabbrica di perle artificiali molto ben costruite:
Compero un anello e un bracciale dove le perle hanno valore: sono abbellite.
Visita alla Grotta del Drago: si tratta di una bellissima creatura
al di fuori della vita terrena. E’ un vero capolavoro di Madre Natura.
La Grotta degli Ami è più piccola ed è carina, con stalattiti a forma di ami provenienti
anche dalla parte sottostante e i loro aspetti sono affascinanti e appariscenti.
La Grotta gigantesca è maggiore delle altre: ha un grande spiazzo
e un fiumicello sul quale la barca trasporta alcuni turisti. Abbiamo l’imbarazzo
di scegliere di ascoltare la musica fantastica di Chopin o proseguire
a piedi o in barca per arrivare al termine della Grotta e, quindi, uscire.
Passaggio per Inca: nota per il suo mercato che si tiene il giovedì, è importante
per la lavorazione delle pelli e delle calzature. Città dell’entroterra, è invitante.
Escursione al Castillo del Bellver, si trova su un collina ed è opera immane artistica.
E’ fuori Palma di Maiorca. E’ stupendo e, inizialmente, era residenza monarchica.
In una tenuta con cenone in un grande teatro con 1.200 posti ai tavoloni e spettacolo
di cantanti, attori e “pagliacci”. L’orchestrina esegue “O sole mio”, l’ “Inno-miracolo”.
Antica stalla grandissima: è stata adibita a spettacoli e, questa sera, si tengono
i duelli con attori cinematografici. L’ambiente è medioevale e presenziano
“Il Re” e “La Regina”; firmano anche autografi. Dopo il termine, il balletto polinesiano
in una sala molto capiente, impegna le graziose ballerine che danzano.
La Basilica Cattedrale di Santa Maria (“la Seu”), è l’edificio religioso principale
della città di Palma di Maiorca e, della diocesi, sede episcopale.
Dal 1905, è Basilica minore. E’ l’edificio religioso simbolo dell’isola, ha arte gotica.
Si trova di fronte al mare, fra i palazzi Almudaina ed Episcopale di Maiorca.
A seguito della conquista delle Baleari, Giacomo I d’Aragona demolisce
la grande Moschea della Medina e ne fa una Cattedrale che costruisce,
rivolgendola a Santa Maria. Di stile gotico-maiorchino, è famosa per il suo rosone,
uno dei più grandi al mondo tra le cattedrali gotiche e per la sua dimensione.
Puerto Cristo, Porto di Pollensa. Trasporto, al Capo Formentor, per via marittima.
Bellissima spiaggia, è frequentata anche dai Reali di monarchie. E’ turistica. E’ ottima.
Monastero di Valldemosa: nell’entrata, nei quattro angoli del plafone,
sono scritti quattro nomi ebraici fra cui Debora e Jaele. E’ un’antichissima costruzione
data ai rigidi Certosini di Tarragona, nel 1399 che, poi, un convento verrà fatta diventare.
Aria finissima, il paese si trova a 1000 metri sul livello del mare.
Qui, la Sand e Chopin affittano due stanze, affinchè il musicista potrà
ripendersi dalla tisi. Il suo adorato pianoforte personale lo seguirà.
Una settimana di escursioni ci arricchisce e ci ritempra spiritualmente,
regalandoci nuove informazioni che potremo dimenticare difficilmente.
Conosciamo Piera e Maria (due amiche piemontesi) e, con altri, intratteniamo
giochi-passatempo. Gioco degli Indiani/Cow-Boys, eccetera: ci divertiamo.
Aeropuerto de Ibiza San José: qui, in questo snodo importante delle Baleari,
durante il ritorno in Italia, viene effettuato lo scalo per raccogliere turisti vari.
Vacanze vere, vissute e indimenticabili in una terra antichissima conquistata
dai Greci, dai Romani, dai Vandali, dagli Arabi-Omayyadi, … e, poi, liberata.

It is organized by Alpitour. “Good morning starts in the morning”: everything is correct.
It’s June 21st: it’s my husband’s birthday. We arrive and, as per the contract,
on the coffee table, in our room, we find a bottle of sparkling wine: that’s it!
For the whole day, we are out of the hotel for various excursions, so we take care of it
with a very rich basket of picnic foods (boiled eggs, etc.) that we enjoy.
Let’s visit the amazing factory of very well built artificial pearls:
I buy a ring and a bracelet where pearls have value: they are embellished.
Visit to the Cave of the Dragon: it is a beautiful creature
outside of earthly life. It is a true masterpiece of Mother Nature.
The Grotta degli Ami is smaller and is pretty, with hook-shaped stalactites coming from it
also from the underside and their aspects are fascinating and showy.
The gigantic Cave is larger than the others: it has a large clearing
and a small river on which the boat carries some tourists. We are spoiled
to choose to listen to Chopin’s fantastic music or carry on foot or by boat to get to the
end of the cave and then exit.
Passage by Inca: known for its market held on Thursdays, it is important
for the processing of leather and footwear. Inland city, it’s inviting.
Excursion to the Castillo del Bellver, it is located on a hill and is an immense artistic work.
It is outside Palma de Mallorca. It’s gorgeous and, initially, it was a royalist residence.
In an estate with dinner in a large theater with 1.200 seats at tables and a show
of singers, actors and “clowns”. The orchestra performs “O sole mio”, the “Hymn-miracle”.
Very large ancient stable: it has been used for shows and, this evening, they are being held
duels with film actors. The environment is medieval and presence
“The King” and “The Queen”; they also sign autographs. After the term, the Polynesian ballet
in a very large room, engages the pretty dancers who dance.
The Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria (“la Seu”), is the main religious building
of the city of Palma de Mallorca and, of the diocese, episcopal see.
Since 1905, it has been a minor basilica. It is the symbolic religious building of the island, it has Gothic art.
It is located on the seafront, between the Almudaina and Episcopal palaces of Mallorca.
Following the conquest of the Balearic Islands, James I of Aragon demolishes
the great Mosque of the Medina and makes it a Cathedral which he builds,
addressing it to Santa Maria. Of Majorcan-Gothic style, it is famous for its rose window,
one of the largest in the world among the Gothic cathedrals and for its size.
Puerto Cristo, Port of Pollensa. Transport, to Cape Formentor, by sea.
Beautiful beach, it is also frequented by the Royals of monarchies. It’s touristy. It’s great.
Valldemosa Monastery: in the entrance, in the four corners of the ceiling,
four Jewish names are written including Deborah and Jaele. It is an ancient building
given to the strict Carthusians of Tarragona, in 1399 which, later, will be made into a convent.
Very fine air, the town is located 1000 meters above sea level.
Here, Sand and Chopin rent two rooms, so that the musician can
recover from tuberculosis. His beloved personal piano will follow.
A week of excursions enriches us and restores us spiritually,
giving us new information that we can hardly forget.
We get to know Piera and Maria (two Piedmontese friends) and, with others, we entertain
games-pastime. Game of Indians/Cow-Boys, etc.: we have fun.
Aeropuerto de Ibiza San José: here, in this important hub of the Balearics,
during the return to Italy, the stopover is made to collect various tourists.
Real, experienced and unforgettable holidays in a very ancient conquered land
by the Greeks, the Romans, the Vandals, the Arab-Umayyads, … and then liberated.
