Le mie montagne sono in Sila e sono bellissime.
Sono brulle o verdissime
con foreste tagliate da stradine
e, qua e là, vediamo case e chiesine.
Le mie montagne hanno l’aria pulita e l’acqua pura:
tutti si sono assicurati una buona cura.
Con la pioggia o con la neve, il cielo è ammaliante:
uno spettacolo da dipingere, affascinante.
Col sereno, sulla valle, l’alba è delicata,
il giorno è illuminato dalla luce dorata.
Il tramonto è romantico
sul paesello antico.
La sera, cielo e valle sono punteggiati da luci e stelle:
emozioni forti e belle.
Queste sono le mie montagne,
la mia valle e le sue campagne.

MY MOUNTAINS, MY VALLEY
My mountains are in Sila and they are beautiful.
They are barren or very green
with forests cut by narrow streets
and here and there, we see houses and little churches.
My mountains have clean air and pure water:
all have ensured good care.
In the rain or in the snow, the sky is bewitching:
a show to paint, fascinating.
With the serene, on the valley, the dawn is delicate,
the day is illuminated by golden light.
The sunset is romantic
on the ancient village.
In the evening, the sky and the valley are dotted with lights and stars:
strong and beautiful emotions.
These are my mountains,
my valley and its countryside.
